Oregon grape is the state flower of Oregon and has many uses as the whole plant is edible; it's bark and roots have antimicrobial properties and can be used for inflammation, wounds, or eczema. The berries are great for digestive health and sore throats, and also make a great jelly :)
As far as folklore; Oregon grape represent resiliency, protection, inner power, and the healing of mistrust. It's thorny leaves symbolize setting boundaries, while its vibrant nature and use in traditional medicine for healing and purification link it to fostering self-love, overcoming negativity, and connecting to one's inner strength.
